I went here on a Tuesday night for the pizza, after staff took the order I went away to do an errand. After coming back I asked how long the wait was, over an hour in total. Well tell the patrons that because people get annoyed and rightly so. The bartender said I was told the time to wait, No I wasn't because if I had I would have not ordered. To their credit they did try their best to rectify however Tuesday is 2 for 1 pizza. When my order came out only 1 was offered, by this time I was 🤯.....

Great restaurant/ bar just a short walk out of the main town. Very relaxed atmosphere with great food and local beers, highly recommended!

Pour moi le Big Mountain Basecamp est le meilleur bar de Chamonix pour boire une bonne craft bière et manger une bonne pizza et ce devant un beau coucher de soleil sur un panorama magnifique. Mention spéciale à toute l équipe qui est très sympathique et accueillante.

Excellent micro-brewery with lots of different beers, even a GF one, which is why I gave it 5 stars. Great pizzas and burgers. Pizzas are not GF but burger with option of GF bun.

Great selection of beers, though they seem fairly American. Great burgers. Older bartender had quite the attitude. Younger waiter was terrific.

Super spot à Chamonix ! On est passés pour l’après-ski et on a adoré l’ambiance. Très bon bar à bière avec de belles bières artisanales / craft beer à découvrir. On a aussi pris des burgers et des pizzas, c’était vraiment top et délicieux. Les terrasses sont super agréables et il y a toujours une bonne ambiance. Et surtout, l’équipe est vraiment super sympa, hyper souriante et toujours de bon conseil pour les bières en fonction des goûts de chacun. J’ai adoré. On reviendra ! 🍻

What a gem in Chamonix! If you're a fan of in-house brewed craft beer on tap this is the place. The food service staff and bartender were so friendly and genuine. 2 thumbs up to the chef on the BBQ chicken wings. They were fantastic and I'm from Buffalo!! Well done.

Absolutely loved the chicken caesar salad. I applaud restaurants that put thought and care into every dish even the ones that are not the top sellers. Wouldn’t mind seeing some chicken tenders on the kids menu though 😉

Nice atmosphere and really friendly service. Their beers are quite easy, in other words not very exciting for the craft beer enthusiast. Had a good margarita pizza, and a vegan burger which was of average level. But all in all, worth a visit.

This is one of the prime spots in Chamonix, epic views from the large outdoor area, cool staff, good food and they actually brew their own beer which you see from their bottom garden. Hope they brew another batch of Red Ale there, loved it!

This place and Outer Range in Sallanches are the best beer spots around Chamonix. This place was super busy at around 6pm, cool spot to be for a brew. Heads up, generally speaking the left side with the tables is for food, the right side is for drinks. We posted up at the bar and enjoyed all their beers. Everything we tried was quality. The bartender was really nice and even gave us a taster for free when he learned my wife liked sours. Definitely check this place out if you like beer and you're in Chamonix - and don't sleep on Outer Range in Sallanches.

Amazing, couldn’t recommend this place more. We came in with a large group and they were extremely kind and accommodating. Drinks and food were fantastic (Caesar salad was perfect). Our waitress Olga was the best - so sweet and we’ll be coming back!

I went there on Tuesday night when they only serve pizza (2 for 1 pizza night). Pizza and beer were very good. Nice and friendly service.

I had a very disappointing experience at this bar. I was calmly sitting and drinking a beer, not bothering anyone, when the staff asked me to leave because, as they said, “we have eating customers.”

If you come here just to have a beer, be prepared for an uncomfortable experience. From the very beginning, we were looked at with obvious disapproval and asked several times whether we were going to eat. We clearly said that we only wanted drinks, but the staff kept coming back to ask again if we had changed our minds. Eventually, we were simply asked to leave so that the table could be given to guests who would order food. The beer itself was good, but the attitude made the whole evening unpleasant. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who just wants to relax and enjoy a drink — it’s not worth it.

Venus avec ma femme boire un verre avant d’aller aux QC thermes, nous avons été très bien accueillis et on a pu goûter quelques bières. Très franchement un bar avec un choix d’excellents breuvages et une vue imprenable sur le massif 🤩

Costa trobar una bona cervesa artesana per França, i la veritat es que Big Mountain ho ha aconseguit. Tap room de luxe, molt acollidor, amb varis sortidors de cervesa, tota seva. A mes si vols menjar alguna cosa també tenen una cuina molt bona. Molt recomenable ai sou amants de la bona cervesa.

Great brewery and delicious food. Local beer directly from the tap. The IPAs are the best, in my opinion. I recommend ordering a pizza or the Plat Mixte. They are all delicious. Staff also very friendly and very clean bathroom!

Super bar qui font leur propre bière avec un large choix ! Le style IPA est mis en avant sous toutes ses formes (IPA, NEIPA, TROPICAL, SESSION, MICRO) avec toujours une signature reconnaissable et surtout du goût. Les éphémères sont aussi très intéressantes, mention spéciale à celle élevée dans des fûts de chardonnay. Vous pouvez consommez sur place et emportez. Top top !

What an incredible place. This has to be the brewery taproom with the best view on the planet!! Mega quality beers (love the IPA) and pizzas and burgers absolutely on point. It’s a must stop in Chamonix and I’ll be back again and again. Love it!

New location, better Big Mountain. We always go to Big Mountain at some point during our stays in Chamonix. It's a ritual. Good beer, good friends, and good food. Great for dogs too. The new place is five minutes from the old place, and a huge upgrade. Congratulations to the Big Mountain team on this new, bigger mountain.

I should start by saying that I have been to this pub several times: nice atmosphere and excellent beers, good food not cheap. However, the portions have never been as small as they were the last time. We ordered a chicken burger: inside there must have been at most 30 grams of chicken. I thought they must have run out of ingredients, considering the amount of people.

If you like the beer scene in the states, then this place is the perfect. It's relaxed, good beer, plenty of space, off the main paths. It doesn't feel like a cafe vibe but more like a tasting room. Really enjoyed it.

Je pense qu'ils n’ont aucune notion de ce qúest la cuisine et le service. Une salade cesar bourré de mayonaise dans la salade verte et de fromage râpé on aurait dit une bolognaise, du poulet mais pas de crouton, fallait le faire. Original mais indigeste. A savoir, cette cantine n'a pas de pain...

Ive been to a lot of pubs. This one is the best.

Ordered a burger (€18) and a beer (€8.50) — total should have been €26.50. Instead, they charged me €50. When I pointed out the error, the barman refunded €50 but then inexplicably charged me €30 again, still overcharging me. No explanation, no apology. Completely unprofessiona

Traveling in Chamonix, we stumbled upon this gem! Great place with delicious IPA’s Love it!!

Super warm place, they make you feel at home since the very first moment, many options to take home-made beers typical from the Chamonix region, we tried at least 3 and all of them worthed to be tried!! We tried it on Tuesday and surprisingly they had the option of 2x1 in pizzas, almost everyone at the bar was ordering and we tried the "blanche" and the "veggie", super recommendable both ones!! The atmosphere was great as you can delight with the views of Mont Blanc while you drink or eat good quality stuff!!

The pizza is fantastic and the tuesday 2 for 1 pizza deal is great. Highly recommend for a dinner.

We got off the bus from our TMB hike past this place enroute to our hotel. So glad we stopped to “rehydrate “! Amazing craft brewery with 20 plus taps. WOW! Had the blonde and the white and both were top notch. 5€ pint happy hour 2-5 pm, what’s not to like?!? Great friendly service too. Want to go back for another round next time in Chamonix! Merci!

Positif : Les bières sont bonnes et il y a une jolie vue. Négatif : Après avoir commandé nos 4 burgers un prix plutôt conséquent, et le serveur s’exclamant « Ne prenez pas de beeper ! Je sais où vous êtes et on vous l’apporte ;) » - je vous indique directement la traduction puisque le staff ne semblait pas parler français - nous avons attendu un grand total de 1h30 avant de ne PAS recevoir nos plats. Mais où sont nos burgers ? Ne sont ils jamais partis de la cuisine ? Est-ce que les toilettes qui étaient occupées toute la soirée l’étaient par le cuisinier qui regardait Family Guy sur la cuvette ? Le mystère flotte sur le bar comme la brume sur une plage du Nord. Après une longue recherche - en anglais - nos Sherlock Holmes Junior nous ont révélé qu’ils s’étaient juste trompés de table ! Best bar in Chamonix, with the best view and really friendly staff! Their new food menu is great, I had the Beyond veggie burger with caramelised onion and rocket, and it was so tasty. They have two huge outdoor terrace areas plus a big beer garden to enjoy views of Mont Blanc and chill with your friends.

Horrible experience. Got a beer at the bar and was told to wait at a table to be served for food. After 50 minutes I went to the bar again to be told there was another hour wait to be potentially served... Absolute shambles. Good beers, so it's a shame.

We had the Margherita pizza and a pale ale and both were good. The pizza wasn't the best, but this is a brewery and it was good.

This is a great bar with a great view. It's a real shame that you don't have a gluten free option on a Tuesday. They only serve pizzas on Tuesdays due to their 2 for 1 offer which is understandable but leaving people with coeliac disease with no options is lousy.

We dropped in here for apres ski beer and oh my was it good. Wide selection of self brewed beers but we couldn't beat the 6% neipa hazy IPA. An absolutely delicious pint. Didn't stay for food but it seemed popular.

Great bar for a small or larger group with a wide selection of delicious beer and other drinks (cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages..). Friendly staff, good food and a nice setting. Music that is loud enough to enjoy it but just right so we can have normal conversations, something that can be rare in Chamonix bars!

If there’s one thing you cannot miss when visiting Chamonix, it’s Big Mountain! Everyone of their staff is incredibly nice, the beer is great and the pizzas simply amazing. Go there on a Tuesday for a 2 for 1 Pizza deal, you won’t regret it.

Love this bar! Beer is excellent, tasty food and nice ambience. Pet friendly🤍 Couple of years ago it was on the central street with the small place inside but now they moved a bit farther in the bigger room.

What a disappointment. Came on Xmas eve when you would have thought they would have known they would be busy. Excited to try out the new place and new menus. They proudly displayed their full menu and gave it out to customers, after trying to order 3 things in a row we were successively told they had none of them. Out of 4 snack/starters one the menu they had one…..a bowl of fries with Parmesan for €12.00! Then they proceeded to say actually they only really had fries, pizzas and burgers despite the full menu on offer being much broader. Perhaps the head chef needs to learn how to manage their stock better. Not a great impression for a new flagship establishment.

Nice brewery that serves pizza, burgers and desserts and also has some guest beers. The pizza was fantastic and they topped it off with a delicious chocolate cake.

Birra buona, quella degli altri però, perché la mia è stata spillata per metà da fine fusto e poi da inizio di uno nuovo. Non ho avuto la prontezza di riflessi di chiederne una nuova, ma in un posto dove la birra costa 9 euro non dovrebbe essere necessario. Il servizio è nonostante ciò accogliente e interessato a spiegare delle proprie birre che sono tantissime. Cartelli fuori fanno intendere l’esistenza di un happy hour non pervenuto. La cucina apre alle 5 e fino a quell’ora non puoi avere assolutamente nulla da mangiare, nemmeno noccioline o patatine in pacchetto. Forse è un’ abitudine italiana, ma credo sia salutare e necessario che ogni volta che viene servito dell’alcol venga considerato anche uno stuzzichino, anche se piccolo, per fare un po’ di fondo nello stomaco. Solo per questa motivazione ho messo 1 stella nella categoria food.

Great beers and place! But the young waiter looked bored and unhappy. Might be time to change jobs (??) as it's really annoying for clients to get such an unpleasant service (The waitress seemed really nice)

We had the best meal in all of Chamonix at Big Mountain Brew - it was so good, we went back twice! On our first visit, we tried the Chevre à la Truffe (mushroom pizza with truffle oil), nachos, and a few drinks. Though food service starts at 5 pm, we arrived just before and the server kindly took our order early, delivering the food in no time! It was so good that we had to return for our final meal the next day. To our surprise, he remembered our preferences, that we don't eat pork. When we ordered the Poulet, a chicken pizza with sausage, he asked if we wanted it without the sausage. Great ambiance, and the server is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended - don't miss out when you're in Chamonix!

Very cool bar with a great selection of local and world beers. We did not try the food but the pizzas looked delicious and very popular with dozens of customers calling in for a takeaway. The atmosphere was laid back with good background music.

Torn about this one. On first night we got settled at a table and menus provided only to be told there was no pizzas left in a pizza restaurant. May well have been sold out I guess. Back next night a bit earlier and again seated and ordered. Took about an hour to get the pizza and about average quality. The 2 members of staff seemed under pressure to manage but did their best. Shame as it did have a nice friendly vibe about the place. On whole would not recommend on basis of both visits.

I love this place (but sometimes it’s a bit chaos) Really appreciate the selection of low alcohol beers.

Beer is good, pizza was delightful! It was busy busy busy (for good reason) so be prepared to be patient!

Good beer. Young staff member was super friendly. The boss/owner seems very grumpy and completely unapproachable, his demeanour was very poor.

The beers were ok, pretty generic IPAs etc, the pizzas looked nice, but the staff were grumpy to the point of rudeness.

Beer is great, staff is so so but I guess whatever it is. Pizza is decent (the dough is) but they could use a bit more tomato sauce. Shocking part though is that when paying with card, they ask for a tip on the terminal. To the manager/owner of this place: this is France. We don't tip here. There are no tips in France, you should pay your workers a decent living wage and don't rely on customers to subsidize. This isn't America or whatever, don't bring this stupid tipping culture to France please.
