Pas terrible

We had the beef tenderloin. It was delicious. Cook knows how to make it in point. Besides, it was my daughter's birthday and the staff sang happy birthday, which was fantastic! Thank you! :)

Quick service and delicious food. The atmosphere resembles successfully the American country style. Fully recommended. Price is logical for Chamonix. Maybe we will go again within our 5 days stay.

After a long day on the mountain the burger here was an absolute must! The atmosphere truly makes you feel like you’re out in Montana or Wyoming. Great food, great vibes. Hannah and Rhys were also just the best owners coming around to welcome you and make sure food and service was good. Can’t wait to come back

Saw that the ribs and chips looked good on Google so we got a table - never expected them to be 40 euro. Cannot fathom this price considering it’s a simple pub meal. They were good but not 40 euro good. The cheesy loaded fries were just sludge and the chicken tenders didn’t seem freshly made. Friendly service and good atmosphere but overpriced food.

• Bighorn burger: large portions, juicy meat, and flavorful meal!! • Chicken tenders: actually tender and juicy as well. • Caesar salad: fresh produce, great portion, and delicious dressing. • French fries: portions were great, but honestly the fries were a bit burnt to my liking. • Chili Bowl: very hearty and cheesy and filled with flavor! We had a couple of mixups in our order and it took us too long to get our food but nevertheless the staff were super friendly, very attentive and very helpful! Overall experience was great and I would definitely go back there when looking for a great burger in Chamonix.

I ordered the beef burger bun, and it was one of the most delicious burgers I’ve ever had. Although it took about half an hour to prepare, it was absolutely worth the wait. The staff were incredibly kind and friendly. The place itself is beautiful and full of life. On the day I visited, it happened to be someone’s birthday, and the whole restaurant, along with all the customers, was singing and clapping for him. It was such a beautiful moment, straight out of a movie. I definitely recommend trying this place 👍🏻

C'est le meilleur endroit où bruncher à Chamonix! Si vous aimez la cuisine américaine, la vraie, il faut y aller absolument! Le cinnamon roll est juste dingue! Tout est fait maison et est délicieux! Les oeufs Bénédicte un régal et il font du jus d'orange frais pressé! C'est toujours dur de faire un choix tellement tous les plats de la carte sont délicieux! Je suis fan depuis plusieurs années déjà. J'ai emmené ma famille et mes amis et tout le monde adore!

Tivemos uma experiência muito ruim. Ao chegarmos ao estabelecimento, em nenhum momento fomos informados de que haveria um horário limite para permanecer no local. Inclusive, perguntamos até que horas ficaria aberto e nos informaram que seria até às 22h. Mesmo assim, fomos colocados para fora antes desse horário, mesmo estando consumindo no local. A situação foi ainda pior porque não tínhamos para onde ir naquele momento, pois estávamos aguardando um ônibus que só sairia às 8h da noite. Falta de organização, comunicação e, principalmente, respeito com o cliente. Não recomendamos.

It was amazing!! Everyone was so nice and kind, never leaving us to wait too long. The food was so very nice as well and they even asked us about how we want the meat in our burgers and soon, we were eating all the delicious food! The atmosphere was also up to the standard of everything else, all the music was audible but you could hear one another( the music was also very nice ). So overall it was aammaazziinngg!! Vine hace dos años a Chamonix y me encantó el sitio, me acordé del sitio, volví aquí y es aún mejor. Maravilloso sitio, con el personal muy amable destacando al dueño que no falla con las recomendaciones y atento a cualquier detalle que hace que sea una experiencia muy agradable. Con la comida, perfecto punto y sabor de la carne filet, la hamburguesa meat siesta que no te dejará con hambre, sus perfectos entrantes tras probar corn lollypops, poutine y hummus y para finalizar sus postres caseros probando la tarta de queso y su apple crumble que perfecciona la cena. Recomendado por completo en todos los aspectos!

My husband and I came here to celebrate his birthday. First time in Chamonix, wanted to find something that could make him feel back at home (USA) and have great food. We ordered the parmesan fries and fried chicken to start and both were amazing! Then my husband took the ribs which were absolutely AMAZING! It melted in the mouth and had great flavour! We were ecstatic with our meal and ended it on a perfect note with the home made salted caramel ice cream, so delicious! Would recommend anyone that wants good food to come here! Owners are really great and staff are super friendly! 20/10 in our book! Thanks for this great evening!

It’s an American burger joint in the heart of Chamonix. If that’s what you are looking for, this is your place. No fondue, raclette, or any other fine dishes of the Savoie region. They have the American diner vibe nailed, right down to the 15/18/20% tip options when paying your bill, which is absolutely non existent anywhere else in France, or the rest of Europe for that matter. They do a good job of what they are.

Wandered in for dinner and had the best evening of our entire trip. Met the owner, chatted about a beer collaboration with Outer Range Alps (I’m from Colorado) and had a lovely evening listening to live music, enjoying the view of Mont Blanc and the delicious food (best burger I’ve had in ages!). Can’t say enough good things about this spot, definitely worth a visit!

Deserves a review immediately after leaving Bighorn Bistro. If you’re veggie/vegan, their vegan burger is the best I’ve ever had (I’ve tried many), hands down. Go there! Drinks great and servers very lovely, and the food will not disappoint you!

Came here for dinner and had a great time! The servers were especially attentive and considerate, and took great care to ensure that our needs were met. The food was delicious – we had the beef and chicken burgers at €19 each, overall we preferred the beef but both were good. The cauliflower starter was also very appetising and unique. A great spot for American cuisine in Chamonix.

Amateur de burger. Il rentre dans notre top 5 des meilleurs burger que nous ayons goûtés. La sauce, l'alliance des goûts et les frites maison sont autant de détails que nous avons appréciés. Le pain sans gluten un réel plus pour moi aitant intolérante au gluten et en plus excellent, tout comme la bière gluten free. Le personnel très sympa de surcroît. Bravo, une excellente adresse!

Notre restaurant favori de Chamonix, nous y revenons tous les ans ! Délicieux plats dans une ambiance très chaleureuse. Mention spéciale pour le brunch qui est un pur régal, avec des pancakes, gaufres, muffins, etc. à tomber par terre !!! Extremely friendly family business with great flavours. Gluten free burger with an excellent home made GF bun and a very tasty mixed salad - so much so I didn't feel I missed out not having the chips! Not just a burger joint - chef really knows their stuff and all served with a big smile and genuine interest in how you are enjoying the food. Good vibes only. Thank you :)

This was a great find as we were hungry and my wife needed gluten free. They make their own bread! The burgers were amazing; perhaps the best in Chamonix. The staff were so gracious and fun to chat with. The location was quiet and a little away from the crowds. Great Find. We will be back.

Rhyse is the owner and his brother-in-law makes the gluten-free buns. Rhyse is VERY knowledgeable about gluten-free issues and answered all of our questions with such a cheerful disposition! I had the Vegan Burger (and added bacon HA!). So yummy! Bighorn is off the beaten path and totally worth the "detour." And the gluten-free dessert...OMG!

Put Bighorn on your Chamonix eating list. Great food. Responsive and caring service. A chill atmosphere. Plenty of space for groups of friends, and intimate spaces if you’re dining a couple. Not to forget, there a proper bar. Every time I’m in Chamonix, I’m coming back. Love it!

The service here is extremely slow. It took 25 minutes after ordering for 1 appetizer and another 35 minutes for 3 burgers. While the wait staff was friendly, it seemed like their politeness was a face for the slow service from the kitchen. My wife had a stomach ache and the server offered to rush her food to go, for which we said yes, but it ended up coming out after the other two entrées were served. The food was mediocre as well. The server told us the place was well known for their burgers and ribs, but the the burgers we got were bland and not well prepared. It felt like we were gaslit by the server into thinking this restaurant was a good place to enjoy, but it was a disappointing experience.

The entire staff was welcoming and attentive, making me feel right at home, but I especially want to highlight Kaitlyn, who truly went above and beyond. Great burgers

We were looking for a place to grab a good meal after a full day of hiking and exploring the area. Bighorn Bistro had great reviews and a good looking menu so we gave it a try. The food here is top notch, prices are reasonable, and the staff were so friendly. We talked to one of the owners for a while and learned about how the restaurant opened and is still run by their family today. For reference, we ordered Poutine which was amazing, bighorn burgers, and a beef birria quesadilla. All of our food was great and I’d recommend any of those items again. We were so happy we found this place and would definitely go back if we find ourselves in Chamonix again.

Very nice food, both burger and the corn. nice beers and ambiance too. There is happy hour promotion if you come before 5pm. We came with 2 kids and have no problem, the staffs are very friendly. Toilets are clean too.

I went back here twice in a span of 4 days because it was amazing. The staff was so friendly and personable, the food is fresh and so tasty, and the drinks are creative with lots of local options. I would recommend this to anyone in the area who wants a good burger or just the vibes for a drink.

Des bières pressions et des entrées délicieuses ( et nombreuses ) . Suite à quelques petits désagréments survenus dans la soirée , on nous a fait un beau geste commercial avec une réduction et une bière offerte . Très respectueux . Prochain séjour à chamonix , on y retournera sans hésiter !

Visited at 5pm on a Sunday in June. Servers were so attentive and polite. We both had the bighorn burger. Wish they were in my home state because this would win battle of the burgers where I’m from. Was just so freaking good. The bun was perfect. The patty was perfect. And the sauce was something different but also perfect. Caught a happy hour beer and it was quite the tall pour.

We were here for Bighorn's 10th anniversary celebration last week and it was so much fun. Great selection of beers and drinks, the burgers were really tasty, and the live music made for a great atmosphere. It's in a nice little business community less then 2 minutes walk from the main street so it has its own chilled vibe to it. The staff were really friendly and chatty too.

We just only had the burger with fries, it was a little bit expense but totally worth it. Burger patty was perfect and the combinacion with the sauce and bun made a really good burger. Fries are included and Mayonnaise and Ketchup are included and you can as much as you want. Service was really friendly and fast. And you can pay with card.

Dès qu’on arrive, les serveurs parlent en anglais, un peu surprenant au tout début mais très chouette. On n’avait pas trop compris la carte, les serveurs nous ont aidé, ils ont été adorables avec nous. Mon fils de 2 ans a pris des tenders et frites, c’est les meilleurs tenders 😉 Puis les plats sont très bons aussi et assez copieux. Bref on a envie d’y retourner

Food good, place needs a bit of an revamp as needs to bring the American feel as at the moment it's bland. Also very squashed tables in between other people which makes it feel very uncomfortable, wanted to get out so didn't spend on anything but basics as we were on the laps (felt like) of two other couples. Probably won't go back.

Nice spot for a post ski drink. Fair warning that the kitchen closes at 5 promptly. Great live music! Recommend this area as the best apres zone. Just a short bus journey, not far from the centre.

We were seated at a small table for two, which was cluttered with things. There was almost no space to place our hands on the table. I felt the candle is one of the things that was unnecessary, and the empty cup where we received our cutlery and empty drunk cans were left on the table until the end. We were also unable to get steak strips as a salad extra, so my partner opted for a burger. Unfortunately, the bread was cold, as if it came straight from the fridge, and the patty, which he requested medium-minus, was overcooked and dry. And overall food was too sweet for us. Although the staff was polite and apologized, offering a free drink as compensation, we didn't have time to stay any longer.

This place is awesome! Service was attentive. I was there 2 days for happy hour-nice prices. Great beer selection. I didn’t have food but the food on other tables looked delicious. They have an outside patio with amazing views of the mountains (plus a guest’s friendly dog).

Having gorged myself on classic french dishes the past few days, it was a breath of fresh air to have some very non - french food, and for it to surpass expectations is the icing on the cake. The only real negative for me was the service, in fairness it was busy but it still felt that apart from doing the minimum (taking order, serving food etc.) they didn't really check if we were okay at all. The reason for the full 5 though is because of the surpassing of my expectations for the food. As you can see from the pictures, I got the mammoth 1KG tomahawk ribeye, a mighty dish with a choice of sauce (I got salsa Verde) and an equally mammoth portion of roasted potatoes garnished with mushrooms, spinach and parsnips. I would rate Bighorn Bistro 4.5 stars. We ordered to go on our first night in Chamonix and got the chicken tenders and chicken burger. Pleasantly surprised! Ended up stopping by for a quick bite when we saw they offered happy hour from 3-5pm. Ordered more chicken tenders and aperol spritz which was only 5€!! So worth it! The chicken came out piping hot and was great with the lemon squeezed on top. It comes with a sweet/spicy sauce too but more on the sweeter side. Would be even better if it was spicier. The service was also exceptional and everyone was super friendly.

Most people probably come here for their burger but don’t miss their Tomahawk steak. Probably the best evenly cooked medium rare tomahawk I’ve ever had for the price. (Probably sous vide first then grilled) And I go to all kinds of Michelin star restaurants and high-end steakhouse around the world. It’s so good so my wife and I had to come back the next day to try their burger and ribs. Both are pretty good but not as a big surprise as the steak. I think I owe them a review and finally got time after my 17 day France trip, I came back to leave a google review. Must try their steak! It’s big enough for a couple to share.

Burgers in France? Yes, Big horn does them well. Homemade buns - yum. They even make homemade gluten free buns (thinking of my GF friends).

We booked a table for two here and it was an okay experience. The burger was nice (although too sweet with the onions) and I liked that they asked how you wanted it cooked. The staff were lovely and friendly and the prices were good for Chamonix. However the tables for two were so closely crammed together that I felt like I was sharing a table on either side with complete strangers. There was no way to get out from the wall side of the table without moving the furniture and disrupting our neighbours meal. I'd strongly recommend removing at least one 2 person table and spacing the others out a bit more. The restaurant isn't that small and it seems greedy to cram in an extra 2 people at the expense of a pleasant dining experience for all other couples.

the only reason to not give a 5 is for less people to find it... decent food, seasonal menu and always welcoming service. Topped up with a wide choice of local and foreign beers, many on tap. It's also been consistent for years, which is rare.

We have been waiting for our meals for one hour and a half.... multiple tables came after us and were served while we've been waiting for 97 minutes! We were finally served and yet they took it back cause it was the "wrong order," Apparently, it was for the table next to us so we still waiting....

We arrived in Chamonix late and this spot was open and close to our hotel. We had the ribs and chicken tenders. The chicken tenders weren’t that crispy but tasted great with the aioli. The ribs were fall off the bone and very good. Bonus: Sundays are half priced ribs or at least were this day.

Would not recommend. Your food comes out ~3-5 minutes after you order, you can tell it’s microwaved. Chicken tenders genuinely tasted and looked like they were bought from a frozen bag and heated at home. “Jalapeño aoli” sounds fancy, it’s not. It’s mayo with lime on the side. Cauliflower was not spicy, or flavorful. Again, food comes out too quickly to be fresh and tastes sub par. There’s too many good options in Chamonix to waste your money here.

I was in Chamonix for four days and this place is the best we've eaten in town. We've been to fancy diners to hole-in-the-wall, but we went back to this Bistro for their steak. That fillet mignon and everything that came with it, is chef's kiss! I highly recommend visiting this bistro!

I ended up waiting 40 minutes for my burger. The meat was red too. That's not a problem in itself, but it does indicate that for the first 35 minutes I was waiting, nothing was happening. This was only an hour before closing and the restaurant was pretty empty too, so they weren't inundated with orders. I would not recommend if you need to eat quickly. I'd just completed an 8 hour hike and could feel I was on the verge of passing out while waiting for the food. I'm not exaggerating and it was kind of scary. I felt fine walking in and felt fine a little after eating, but that wait time was dangerously long for me. I definitely would not have chosen this place if I knew how long it would take.

This place is amazing. Try the burgers, the homemade buns(made daily in their bakery) will melt in your mouth! Not to mention vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options!!!!! And don't get me started on the beer selection...actual craft beers in Europe??? Yes please!!! They were able to make a true bourbon old fashioned too! We were in Chamonix for 3 days, and found ourselves coming back to this adorable bistro!!

I cannot say enough good about this restaurant. The food and service were both fantastic. It was so good that we ended up eating there both nights that we were in Chamonix. If you sit outside, you can have a nice view of Mont Blanc from their patio. You will likely need a reservation to do so. They have some really nice non-alcoholic drinks (my daughter and I had the mango mojito and homemade lemonade). My husband had a local beer that was really good. My one daughter had a steak with roasted vegetables, and it was absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. We had burgers that were some of the best we’ve ever had. The Parmesan fries were delicious as well. Desserts were excellent. Everything we had there was just delicious. On top of that, the service was truly outstanding. They were efficient and so friendly. If we lived there, we would be regulars for sure. I HIGHLY reco

Excellent, creative food with a great beer and cocktail list. We enjoyed our dinner so much we came back for brunch the next day. The veggie burger is one of the best vegetarian dishes I’ve ever had, and the pancakes for brunch are a must-try. Great setting in the outdoor courtyard. Staff were super friendly and multi-lingual.

We met the owners while hiking the TMB and they told us about their restaurant. A week later we stopped in. Absolutely fabulous. The attention to detail in the dishes is outstanding. We had the cauliflower and corn starter dishes, along with a chicken burger and vegan burger main course. All were extremely well made and tasty. They also have multiple vegetarian/vegan options on the menu. The service was fast and friendly. We highly recommend coming here if you are in Chamonix. 5 stars!
