J'aime bien manger ici, la nourriture est bonne. La vue est agréable. Par contre, l'attitude du personnel est un peu agaçante. Ils ont l'air mécontents quand je commande et le serveur fumait en me servant.

Stopped for a few drinks a few times - great location for an amazing bowl of hot chocolate or a beer. Food smelt amazing but we did not get. You need to reserve in order to sit inside on the day we went but weather was fair and you could order food for outside. Really great time and vibes of people always coming and going were great to see people of all different levels. You can see the frozen waterfalls and glacier from the back of the place. To note we were 3 x boarders and 1 x skier all on alpine bindings - not touring so skiing out was down ‘moguls’ to join the ski out piste or a walk up if you fancied.

Bonito y agradable refugio de montaña para descansar y tomar algo! ( también se puede dormir y tienen algunos platos para comer ) . Paramos a beber algo de camino al glaciar. Todo limpio, bonito, ordenado y correcto!

Oh I love and miss this spot. Make a reservation from the telecabine in the morning to ensure a place. The homemade Génépi is really good! Beautiful food. Beautiful people. Beautiful view of the chamonix valley.

Amazing spot at the edge of Grand Montets

Atmospheric and fun refuge. It feels remote but you ski in and out from the main Grands Montets ski area. They can pick you up from the cable car station if you like. Or you walk or ski. Lovely views. Food is excellent, if you eat meat. It's noisy at night, for the wooden floors and creaky beds. Ventilation is terrible.

I passed so many times by this chalet and never realized there is a refuge and a restaurant here. Really nice spot to drop by for a coffee and a cake. Better to take cash, though, as the coverage is spotty.

Super accueil. Super tartine fromage/jambon gratinée. Super terrasse avec une vue magnifique sur le front glaciaire. Ils sont ouverts jusqu'à mi septembre !

Breathtaking view of the Glacier d'Argentiere from the refuge. Tranquil refuge with bedrooms rather than a dormitory. We spent some.magoc monets here on the terrace enjoying the waterfalls, distant chamois, and glacier creaking away in the blue icy massiveness.

Arrivées après 14h, nous avons pu quand même manger une croûte et un dessert , servis avec le sourire..un délice Ambiance typique d un refuge

If you can't give this place 5 stars, you should probably be vacationing elsewhere. It captures the essence of the Grand Montets beautifully. The location holds sun late into the afternoon, my wife and I lived at the bottom of the mountain and watched this refuge hold light until after 6pm all winter. Spent many afternoons with a beer enjoying the setting and it's unexplainable embience. Come here because you're a skier, you love the mountains and you love the people that comes with them. It may be a serious effort for some and ok, no credit cards at the top of a mountain in Argentiere but get real and make the journey, you only live once and this a place that makes it all much worthwhile. Sitio encantador, y acogedor(opción de dormir y comer) nosotros solo tomamos cerveza. Vistas impresionantes del glaciar. Personal muy educado, y profesional a pesar de no entender nada de francés, se hizo por entender. Precio razonable para estar pedido en las montaña donde estaba.

Incredible place - highly recommended for a bite to eat and drink after hiking up to and down from Argentiere. Staff were fantastic, views incredible, and food was hearty.

Un endroit comme on les aime, cuisine hyper bonne, mention spéciale pour la tarte au citron 😋 Et une équipe pas comme les autres, un mélange d'humour caustique et de vraie gentillesse. On prendrait bien pension là haut !!

Situado a unos 2000 metros altitud a menos de media hora caminando desde el primer tramo del teleferico de ARGENTIERE y situado estratégico en la orilla del MAGNÍFICO GLACIAR de ARGENTIERE. No lo se su estado hoy en día. No leo veo desde finales de 2019. Buenísimos platos ensaladas de todo aunque todo caro. Lleva una amplia terraza al aire libre en plena montaña con magníficas vistas al entorno y sobretodo al GLACIER ARGENTIERE MUY RECOMENDABLE

Accueil exceptionnel, bonne bière (il y a de 744 maintenant !), cuisine simple mais savoureuse. Playlist soignée. Soirée mémorable. Et on peut même trouver chaussure à son pied !

Great mountain hut with nice view of the glacier. Friendly staff, tasty food and fast service. A bit expensive but what to expect at altitude of 2000m.

Ein sehr schönes Refuge mit einzigartiger Aussicht auf den Glacier d'Argentiere. Von der Terasse aus sieht man auf den verbliebenen Rest der Gletscherzunge mitsamt dem zugehörigen Tal. Als wir da waren, wurde die Hütte von einer einzigen Person bewirtschaftet, man muss also etwas Geduld mitbringen. Aber die sollte man auch haben, wenn man hier heraufläuft. Zu- und Abstieg sollte man keinesfalls über die breiten Skiwege unternehmen. Die sind steil und voller Geröll. Laufen darauf eine absolute Katastrophe. Es gibt schöne kleine Steige, die landschaftlich attraktiver zur Hütte und zum Gletscher führen. Wir waren leider nur für einen Kaffee und ein kaltes Getränk hier. Beim nächsten Mal werden wir aber auf jeden Fall in dieser tollen Kulisse übernachten.

Un refuge qui fait du bien pour couper la journée de ski. Même si la réservation est souhaitée, la place est généralement assez présente. On y mange des plats typiques, assez simples et le choix n'est pas immense, mais on se régale. L'accessibilité est toutefois assez moyenne, le refuge étant difficilement visible depuis les pistes

Reward for 2000 vertical feet of moguls

Lovely little restaurant. We had a nice version of croque monsieur which hit the spot very nicely. It is quite remote down a black slope or a mogul field but far better than the bland commercial alternatives. Much more authentic.

Stopped for a coffee/hot chocolate and were very happy with the service, the view, and the drinks! Amazing spot!

Little gem of a find. You need to be able to ski off piste to get here in winter. Cosy and friendly atmosphere. Getting down is tricky as there is an icy mogul field on the way down...

Great little chalet...limited menu (primarily croque Madame) but that’s almost the way you want it. When it’s busy season, definitely recommend calling in advance and trying to make a reso. They serve wine “as you drink” (ie they give you a bottle but they only charge you for what you drink out of it). From Canada, this was a new concept so good to know!

Nice little spot we had a great stay here

Off-track refuge with resident cook, hearty lunches, bar, refuge style lodging. For lunch, make a reservation or arrive early. Don't expect to get food after 1400-1500 - although the host did do his best to cater to us latecomers.

This is the best mountain restaurant ever. And if you don't understand why then you don't understand the mountains.

Le meilleur restaurant sur la domaine de Grands Montets "La Refuge" est un endroit mythique. Des très bon plats savoyarde avec un accueil chaleureux. Possible de séjourné avec un vue de soir splendide sur la vallée de Chamonix.

La nourriture est bonne, l'ambiance au top...Un passage s'impose !
