The view was incredible, food was phenomenal, and service was on point! We ordered the calamari, rump steak, and green curry shrimp. All were very delicious with high quality ingredients! Staff was very helpful and friendly !

Excellente adresse, arrivée à 14h en plein soleil, vue sur l’aiguille du midi serveur, très gentil aimable servi rapidement. Les places sont délicieux. Le rapport qualité prix est top, surtout en plein cœur de Chamonix. Je recommande si vous arrêtez par là, vraiment foncé !!

En descendant de l aiguille du midi nous avons tenté ce restaurant en famille(5 personnes). Vraiment top, personnel agréable, cuisine parfaite et rapide. Un tarif très correct pour le lieu! My favorite restaurant in Chamonix. Great staff. In the centre of town. The menu often changes and it is always delicious. A true staple of the valley.

First of all, I’d like to highlight the service - very friendly and pleasant, thank you! The coffee was really good (especially by European standards 😅 The only downsides: – breakfast portions are quite small – the beef patty in the burger was not good at all. unfortunately, it was impossible to eat

So far the worst experience. Not the best food, the portions are literally toddlers size.. I’ve orderd a scrambled egg and received literally one scrambled egg..

I don’t speak very good French and the staff was still very helpful with the menu. I had a great time sipping a Hugo spritz and trying traditional local cuisine here. Food was fresh and coffee was good too.

Absolutely loved my experience at L’Alt in Chamonix! The service was outstanding — every single person was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The interior is beautifully designed, cozy and stylish, and the panoramic views of the mountains are simply breathtaking. Do yourself a favor and order the avocado toast — it’s on another level! The combination of beetroot hummus, poached egg, and confit onions is to die for. A perfect spot for brunch with a view. Can’t recommend it enough! 👌⛰️🥑

Great place with vegan and glutten free options, in which you can also eat tasty meat dishes. Nice atmosphere, tasty coffee and drinks too, plus it is close to the centre. Highly recommend if you're a group of friends with various food needs. Portions are designed in a way that you will surely fit a dessert. Taking off one star because of service person farted shortly before approaching us and that lowered the overall olfactory impression of this place, even after few days of TMB.

The vibe of this place is super chill. Very much chalet vibes with the option of super healthy food. I didn't get anything to eat but I got some fresh juice and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff was really sweet and it didn't take too long to get what we ordered. The seating was comfortable and I saw some folks working here too. I would recommend this place for sure.

Order been placed with note about allergy. Food arrived with all ingredients. Took back by waitrose and bring back in 5s. They just opened burger took tomato and bring back food. Very unprofessional.

We discovered L’Alt by accident on our way to Montreux when we stopped for a quick break around lunchtime. What a delightful surprise. Staff was so welcoming and kind, and the food was amazing and very fresh and came quickly even though it was busy. Lots of options on the menu too. Wish we could stay longer to visit again for breakfast!!!

Can only comment on the ginger beer is a must try! The spice ahhhhhh And one of the girls who was working really did sell me on their juices with ginger (green juice), it was delicousss. Also cute seating everywhere.

Un super spot- l'ambiance à l'intérieur est vraiment agréable, toutes les boissons sont au top, le staff super sympa et acueillants. Les desserts proposés sont une pure tuerie ( mention spéciale à la tarte aux myrtilles + le cheescake citron vert).

We arrived here after a long drive from Florence, Italy. We were tired and hungry and were offered a lovely table in the sunshine. Sadly the dish of the moment was finished and so being Easter Sunday we asked if they had any lamb. They brought us pulled lamb burgers with sweet potato fries. Really lovely and reasonably priced. So glad to have found this place and will return again. Highly recommended.

J’avoue ne pas comprendre l’engouement pour ce resto. Le serveur m’a donné l’assiette de la fille derrière, juste après avoir fait tombé l’œuf sur la table, pris par la mains et bien sûr remis dans l’assiette. Je vois la scène mais pas de problème de me donner l’assiette de cette cliente 😂 L’avocado toast mauvais, le burger aussi et l’assiette d’enfant riz et légumes, encore pire ! Franchement c’est du vol, aucun respect du client et hors de prix pour le service proposé !

This was our go-to place during our stay in Chamonix. They were very kind, helpful and the food was very good. The waffle was my favorite! I got a whiskey cream to go on top. You can’t go wrong here. The views are beautiful of course as well.

The food here is delicious! You should definitely try the dish of the day and you won't regret it. The melting-in-your-mouth duck with risotto is just WOW. Bravo Chef!⭐️

Bonjour à tous je vous déconseille fortement ce lieux. Le personnel est très débordé, ils en oublient même nos commandes. D'après ce que j'ai put consommer, dans le matchalatte il y a quasiment que de l'eau et un petit peu de matcha qui va donner la couleur verte à la boisson et les gaufres sont crues à l'intérieur et brûlées à l'extérieur. Résultat : ce lieux est un attrape touriste. Cordialement.

La nourriture était assez bonne mais l’ambiance et le service laissaient à désirer. La table était sale et collante, et on se serait cru dans un McDonald’s américain plutôt que dans un café.

Petite pause de fin d’après midi dans chamonix. Un accueil formidable, des gaufres à tomber par terre, une déco hyper sympa. On recommande la gingerbeer qui est juste excellente !

We visited L'Alt since we had to lunch at an awkward time. L'Alt exceeded our expectations. Not sure why, but it seems like there are a number of restaurants in the Chamonix valley that now offers Asian fare. It's an especially surprise when these rice dishes turn out to be quite good indeed.

Déco sympa , équipe souriante , jeune et dynamique . Service rapide , plats super bon (curry crevettes) ma fille a adoré les frites maison Et la tarte aux myrtilles est une tuerie ! Une très bonne adresse sur chamonix , bravo 👍🏼

Attention… très bon plan. Ce qui s’apparenterait à un énième resto pour touriste se révèle être une très agréable surprise : carte variée (poulpe, avocado toast, burgers, fondue… la carte vous donne un sacré choix) et saveurs au rendez-vous. C’est délicieux ! Le burger savoyard est sublime, le poulpe à l’ail parfaitement cuit, les frites ont un vrai goût de frites maison, etc je peux continuer longtemps comme ça, tout ce qu’on a mangé était vraiment frais et délicieux.

Achtung, Touristenfalle, angeblich regionale Wurst- und Käseplatte war alles andere als regional und eher Massenfertigung. Service war korrekt, Toiletten leider abgewrackt und dreckig. Les soit-disant produits régionaux qui n’en sont pas. Aucun goût authentique… Dommage.

L'Alt in Chamonix quickly became our go-to spot during our stay. Initially, it was the perfect place to grab a quick iced coffee before heading out for mountain biking. Soon, it turned into our favorite spot for a quick meal after a hike. Before we knew it, L'Alt was our preferred choice for bites and drinks between activities and errands. The café offers a comfortable, familiar atmosphere that draws you in, complemented by delicious food that keeps you satisfied. It reminds me of all my favorite café comforts. We're already looking forward to returning next summer!

Messed our orders up. My friend didn’t even get her order made at first. Got an iced coffee that was lukewarm with no ice. Asked for some extra and was told they needed to preserve their ice.

Nice little Cafe joint. Had Coffee and Coconut Hot Chocolate while we waited until their Kitchen opened at 11.30am. By the time the kitchen opened we were full from our coffee (3) and coconut hot chocolate (3). The gentleman who served us was very friendly a d inviting. Definitely will come.back here again. El lugar es muy bonito y por lo que vi, las comandas salen rápido, la comida también parece rica. No puedo hablar de todo el personal, sólo del joven mesero que me atendió. Yo quería tomar un café y acompañarlo con algo de comer. No sé por qué desde un inicio no fui bien atendido, ya desde que saludé hasta el final. Por suerte, al resto de los clientes sí los atendieron bien. Luego de 20 minutos esperando, tomó mi pedido, pero ordené sólo un café porque no hubiera querido pagar demás por el servicio que me dio.

L’Alt porte bien son nom, elle est bienvenue, bien placée dans un cadre sympa. Du matin en fin d’après midi, il y a toujours un bon moment à partager.

Although the place look pretty neat, we were disappointed from the food and the service. First of all for not a particular reason the fire on the center of the tables were closed except 2 tables in the front. Also we the fondi was below average, breads were stale and they almost could not soften.Cheese could not melt completely because of the fire. Ognion Soup average, steak was nice. Overall I am not sure I would recommend it despite the perfect score.

Le prix d'un burger au menu varie de 17 à 19 euros, mais ils m'ont facturé 46 euros pour le même menu, pour deux personnes. ❌Le fromage entrant dans la composition du burger n'agit pas comme du jus, le fromage doit être étiré Les frites étaient ok✅ L'eau était bonne avec du citron✅

Poor customer service. I couldn't even get the menu for 45 min. They even ignored me when I tried to order. They don’t know how to respect people.

Attention, les photos qui datent d’il y a un an ne sont plus valables. Les burgers sont à 18€ sans accompagnement ce qui est vraiment cher. Attention également, la mention « ici tout est fait maison » sur les décorations au-dessus du comptoir n’est pas vraie (ce ne sont que des décorations m’a dit une serveuse). Très trompeur tout ça. D’autant plus quand mon plat du jour, un fish & chips est arrivé. Des frites clairement industrielles et franchement mauvaises, un fish dont la panure doit être industrielle aussi je pense… le burger pulled pork de mon compagnon contenait bien plus de coleslaw que de viande. Pareil pour la boisson chaude miel gingembre citron, j’ai dû aller demander le gingembre, il était inexistant. Grosse déception donc dans ce restaurant !

Très bien, les tables avec brasero sont confortables quand il fait un peu frais. La terrasse peu ensoleillé offre cependant un magnifique point de vue. La nourriture est simple et efficace, le service rapide.

Si vous aimez les plats qui réchauffent le cœur et le corps ; et si vous avez des enfants assez difficiles, les nuggets/frites répondront présents. Sans oublier un accueil fort sympathique.

Service is great, place is super nice. The food is average. Nicely prepared and served, but the taste is just average. Cheese both in the wood box and burger has almost none taste and the texture was odd. The wine served per glass was not good at all. We tried few other places in Chamonix with lower google rating and it was better.

Please change the burger. It’s so bland, tastes boiled and the sauce inside split. One of the worst burgers I’ve ever eaten. I don’t know how anyone could put it on a menu.

Lovely place to take a load off and enjoy the mountain air and scenery. The menu is delightful, with "peaceful" sweet potatoes and dishes made with local trout. There are good vegan options. The coffee is good too.

Stopped by for a quick lunch and ordered their Parmentier of lamb, which reminds me a little of shepherd's pie (i.e. mashed potato on top of lamb) - though with a different flavor profile. It was good.

Je mets la plus mauvaise note car il faut absolument baisser cette moyenne qui ne représente en aucun cas la qualité de la cuisine! Le pain du burger était sec, le steak carbonisé avec une garniture de piètre qualité. Les toilettes étaient dans un état pitoyables témoignant de l’hygiène tenue dans ce restaurant… Seul le service était correct.

Intérieur is very simple. However the food is really delicious. Big portions, fresh vegetables. It was a bit strange to get a cup of hot water and a tea bag when we ordered the tea.

Que dire de plus qu'un lieu absolument parfait : personnel agréable, plats délicieux (ceviche incroyable), cheese cake fameux, terrasse avec vue sur l'aiguille du midi et patron très accueillant. Une adresse à tester et à approuver absolument. C'est sûr, la prochaine fois qu'on passe par Chamonix on reviendra !

Cute cafe with quite average food. We ordered their burger, the sweet potato chips were fantastic but the burger itself lacked any real flavour (even though it looks delicious). We’d recommend trying a different dish if you go there.

Savoyard burger was OK, but could be better. The bun can be improved, also the seasoning, needs more salt. The fries were also average. What saved it was the Coconut Hot Cocoa

I ordered a waffle for breakfast. It was slightly burned and did not taste quite right, and there were was an excessive amount of maple syrup added which made it pretty much not possible to eat. Additionally, two people in my group ordered the shredded lamb Confit and it was not fully heated which detracted from the experience. The fries had no salt and we had to add copious amounts of salt to make it taste reasonable. Another person in our group got squid ink pasta and blueberry pie and found them to be good.

I'll try to break down all the five star reviews here, and maybe give it a more, lets say - sensible rating. We had the Savoyard burger and the kids ate nuggets and french fries. The burger was totally fine, albeit lacked salt. Fairly tasty sauce, the meat was a bit dry but worked out anyway. The french fries was also not graced with salt whatsoever, but you can apply that afterwards of course. French fries was crispy enough. Nuggets and fries for kids is what it is, they loved it. Staff was very friendly and fast. The best part, location and value for money. You pay for a burger which tastes like a burger, and you'll gobble it down and will enjoy it at a fair price. Recommended!

Lieu sympathique, atmosphère typique avec tables extérieures bien exposées en fonction de l'heure, plaid polaire si besoin. Personnels très sympathiques et efficaces. Menu de saison avec un plat du jour au top. Ce que l'on attend d'un restaurant de montagne. Nous avons testé la soupe avec tartine fromage et frites de patates douces, assiette charcuteries/fromage, croziflette et tarte myrtille. Prix correct (25€/pers avec 6 plats+4 desserts et 5 cafés)

Un lieu atypique avec ses tables au milieu desquelles il y a un feu. De bonnes gourmandises pour un goûter à une tarification raisonnable.

Accueil et service avec le sourire . De très bons produits : les gaufres sont excellentes !

This was the first place I visited when I got to Chamonix and I absolutely loved it. The drinks and desserts were high quality and the staff were friendly.

Gaufres vraiment pas terribles Hyper déçue pour le prix Toilettes sans savon ni sèche main ... Dommage car l'ambiance est plutôt bonne mais la nourriture pas a la hauteur.

Découverte de ce restaurant par pur hasard… nous avons profité des tables avec feu central… carte variée , il y en a pour tt les goûts ! Le vin chaud est une merveille… parfaitement épicé. Le velouté et sa tartine délicieuse. Il y a un large choix de dessert tout aussi alléchant. Et pour finir, un grand merci au Staff pour leur bonne humeur et professionnalisme. Tout était parfait 👍

Friendly and welcoming staff, very nice and cosy place to stay for a lunch, a snack or just a coffee. 5 stars!

The staff greeted us at door and made us feel very welcome. The location is on the main street with a beautiful backdrop. There is also an outdoor area with blankets. The burger and mushroom soup were excellent. Friendly staff and quick service. The coffee was just great too. A really pleasant experience.

Overestimated. Just regular cafe with regular food. Soup for 12 euro is a small portion with a very ordinary taste.
