Best food spot in French Alpes

This is THE SPOT for vegans on Grand Montets! The vegan burger is delicious and tastes super clean. The green sauce on it is so fresh and flavorful. Not your typical ski resort heavy oily burger! And of course this is the most beautiful setting for a lunch in the slopes. Thanks for having a great vegan option Le Spot 🙌🐮

Prix excessif pour un coca sans bulle et sans gout.. la bouteille est d'ailleurs arrivée sans capsule (ce qui n'est pas normal) avec une étiquette bien abimée.. bizarre tout ca, je me demande si ce n'est pas du recyclage.. La rondelle de citron était payante.. je n'avais jamais vu ça. J'ai déja eu les glaçons gratuits, c'est deja ça.

Plat et service moyen. Faire attention à l’encaissement, à voulu nous faire payer 100 balles de plus À fuir…

Perfect Ski Break Spot Great place for a ski pause! I had a sandwich that was really tasty, and the croque-monsieur was just as good. The spritz hit the spot too. Prices were fair, and the staff were super friendly. Definitely a cozy and convenient stop during a day on the slopes.

Un an après, toujours aussi sympa. Frites et burger haut de gamme. A goûter le fameux bombardier. Il faut trouver le spot sous la télécabine du bochard mais après vous pouvez profiter de la terrasse , le service est incroyablement sympathique et efficace. Mention spéciale pour les burgers sont au top de ce qu’il peut se faire….. profitez, profitez….

Trust me, you need to check out this snack bar in Chamonix. Cécé is a total rockstar, the staff is super friendly, and the drinks might just convince you to hang out all afternoon. Pair that with an unreal mountain view, and you’ve basically found your new favorite après-ski spot. It’s the perfect place to soak up the sun, grab a snack, and sip on something dangerously delicious!

Was not expecting to have one of the best burgers I’ve ever had on a snack bar half way up a mountain, but the classic burger on their menu was literally one of the best i’ve ever had. As a person who loves burgers i’ve had it all. Burgers from more states and restaurants than you can count on your fingers and toes, even at what some consider to be the best stake house in the world, peter luger, brooklyn, and this burger was truly tasteful. Just enough sauce so that it not doesn’t drown out the taste of the beef but adds to it. The patty was a perfect medium rare so that it wasn’t too dry but just the right amount of moist. And a bun that absorbs the sauce so it doesn’t just flow out of the burger and onto your hands.

Très bonne ambiance, et bien situé sur les pistes. Par contre le service au heure de pointe laisse à désirer... Une attente interminable, pour qu'au final notre commande ne soit pas prise dans son intégralité. Et on nous demande de refaire la queue pour pouvoir commander le burger manquant...

Easy accessible from the main cable car up into Argentiere ski area. Good choice of drinks and food and about the only one serving a good sized coffee! The food looked and smelled good but alas we didn't try any. There are WCs around the back which are clean however not all we're functioning and others had no seats on in the ladies at least. Could do with emptying the waste bins in the cubicles a little more often and topping up loo roll, soap and hand towels.

Quelle mauvaise surprise… Je ne peux vous parler de quoi que ce soit à part du personnel et de la manière dont ils nous on refusé l’entrée en fin de journée ! « Hello, see you soon !! On est fermé c’est marqué sur la pancarte vous savez pas lire ? » Usine à fuir, certains commerçant en valent bien plus la peine.

2 stars for the location, otherwise -5. The coffee sucks 6,80 for a cappuccino and everything priced with Swiss prices.

Toujours très agréable d'y retourner, établissement vivant et accueillant au bas des pistes, superbe terrasse (attendez le soleil !), personnel très sympa, et bonne gamme d'offres "snacking" façon US, plus bières locales et autres.

Gérants désagréables . En effet , ces personnes virent la moitié d une table car ceux ci ne consomment pas , séparant un groupe d ami soudé . De plus , les prix sont très élevés : 5,60€ l orangina … Autant te dire que si tu vas dans cet établissement tu perds ton salaire et tes amis . Honteux

Me renverse volontairement 3 fois de suites mon assiette de frites sur moi.

So ein schlechtes Essen haben wir schon lange nicht mehr gegessen. Suppe war ungenießbar, Spaghetti waren geschmacklos. Salz hat gänzlich gefehlt. Und das alles zu stolzen Preisen. NIE WIEDER

Nice food, charming view. The restaurant has very tasty french food which is a rare feature as it is located in the middle of the slopes in Grands Montets area, far from roads. Waiters are very nice, prepare though for a significant stay as the food will be freshly prepared for you (they do not serve sandwiches or frozen burgers, so you will have to wait for the cook to prepare your meal!) Other big problem is that you will have to reserve on sunny days if you eat at usual lunch times.

26 € une petite assiette de crudité avec une assiette de gratin dauphinois le tout accompagné d'un quart de blanc tiède. Sans parler du personnel en salle qui se plaint des clients qui ne rangent pas leur plateau apres avoir mangé. Bien loin du rapport qualité prix de nos voisins Italiens à altitude identique. Cette façon de procéder contribue malheureusement à ancrer la mauvaise réputation des restau d'altitude chez nous. Franchement dommage.

Là vue est sympa, mais comme souvent dans les stations c'est un peu trop l'usine. Les pizzas côté brasserie n'ont strictement aucun intérêt. Là 4 fromage est à éviter tout particulièrement. Les serveurs restent toutefois sympa. Pas le meilleur coin de la station pour résumé.

We decided to go to Plan Joran (the restaurant) after watching an episode of ""Parts Unknown" by Anthony Bourdain in the French Alps. The food we were served was nothing like in the episode (quite a disappointment) but it was still very good! The food was great but quite simple (no fancy pan-seared foie-gras but just 4 slices of raw foie gras served in a plate for example).

We live in Cham and have been going to this restaurant for about 15 years. The Pizzeria changed ownership this year.(2018/19 season) What used to be some of the best pizzas ( and great value) are no more. Pizzas now much smaller and the bases pre-cooked. No more nutella calzone and the crepes take forever to make. What a shame. The self service restaurant appears to be the same as before- good food but a bit pricey- the 50cl house wine still around 11€ - not bad! I hope the pizza restaurant is reading the reviews.....

Another one of the chain of CMB restaurants that serves the same food throughout. This one is one of the better ones with a self service restaurant at the rear. Best of a bad bunch.

The worst food I've ever had on a ski holiday. Complete chaos in the kitchen because the staff taking payment don't pass the orders to the kitchen so when you arrive at the window to pick up they start making it then- meaning you wait 30 minutes. Hugely over priced, cheapest ingredients they can find, tiny portions and clearly not a single person in the business has a clue. Bring a sandwich instead and save €100 and 30 minutes of your life.

Just fabulous. In 10 years of skiing all over the Alps, this is our favourite restaurant. Not cheap, but absolute value for money. The menu is never the same, but never disappoints. Don't miss it.

The meal we had at Plan Joran today (not the self service place in same building), was fantastic. It costs, but one of the best meals I've had in recent living memory. Every time I've eaten here it's been of the highest standard. 60+ Euro, per head if you go for 3 courses, a wonderful treat.

French culture and cuisine are like a north korean parade, everyone has to pay respect to all the big rockets. In reality all rockets are made of wood. This restaurant exemplifies this nicely.

Expensive, busy, but has a nice atmosphere, had the sandwich meal deal due to the generally exorbitant prices for everything else.

What you could expect from a place at the location. Bland overpriced food and a lot of waiting if you come in at lunch. The waiting / line was horrible and the food was lacking taste what so ever! But the view is nice and the rest is what you would expect...
