We had a very disappointing experience. We were treated rudely and unkindly, I would highly NOT recommended this pub if your looking for exciting, traditional, friendly, places for a drink

Watched the mighty Villa brush aside Lille in this Irish bar in the very centre of Chamonix. Great staff, great atmosphere and great Guinness. Could you ask for more?

Dans la nuit du Nouvel An, je suis entrée dans ce bar en état d’hypothermie du à la température extérieure (-8 degrés) tremblante, incapable de respirer correctement et en pleine crise d’angoisse. J’étais très consciente bien qu’en état de détresse et loin d’être dans un état d’ébriété excessif. J’ai dû appeler les pompiers depuis l’intérieur. Pendant cet appel, le personnel a décidé de fermer le bar et m’a mise dehors à 3h du matin, malgré mon état de santé évident. Mettre une personne en détresse dehors par grand froid est irresponsable. Manque total d’humanité et de professionnalisme. Malgré le fait que je n’ai pas testé leurs produits je ne recommande pas du tout au vu de leur comportement.

Best example of a pub I found in Chamonix. Not a large range of beers, but good atmosphere and staff. Only one visit, but 5/5 based on that.

Very enjoyable bar and very responsive to an unusual request we had about our drinks and great recommendations about dinner.

Drawn in here just by the relaxed atmosphere and people watching on the main street. Very very unusually a young lad behind the bar who really knows how to pour an excellent pint of guinness. Not easy to do as it was very warm outside.

This is kinda the English Pub of Chamonix. It typically opens up in the later afternoon and serves a good selection of pints, wines, cocktails, and soft drinks. When there's football on, this is a good place to watch. Typically, the screen is big, and the atmosphere is great. But also on a normal day this is a fine place to sit and have a drink with friends, or even just on your own watching Chamonix's odd mixture of wealthy tourists, sweaty trail-runners, fully equipped hikers and exhausted alpine climbers pass you by in the main street.

Fast service and friendly staff

Spent a lot of time at the Pub while in Chamonix for a week. Great place to watch some soccer. Staff was wonderful and knew who we were after a few visits. We were there almost every afternoon. Good selection of beer and drinks with good people watching from the tables outside.

Pulled in here for a couple of beers, wine and even a shot, bar staff were friendly and attentive. Reasonably price drinks with a happy hour.

Great place! Happy hour from 4.30-5.30, any glass of wine is 3 euros and pt Moretti for 4 euros. Outside happy hour it’s a bit spenny, around 8 euros a pt. Great staff and good atmosphere.

Great drinks, great staff! I asked for a Moscow mule, which wasn’t in the menu. They did it happily and it was very good ! One of the best pubs in Cham without a doubt. I’d recommend :)

This is a great place particularly if you are an adult looking for a place to have a cocktail or beer without competing with annoying music, cool quiet jazz instead in the background. Pleasant staff.

Great pub, came here twice on our vacation! Bartenders are all multi-lingual so it was easy to get a beer and ask for local recommendations. Good selection of drafts, lots of quality liquors, and it was fun to watch American football on the TV with other travellers.

Nice atmosphere, the team are multi lingual and friendly. The owner is always around and can't be more friendly or accommodating.

Noisy couldn’t sleep

The Pub is THE PUB to visit during the evening to quench your thirst after a long day out. Right in the heart of Chamonix, it offers well priced beers especially during happy hour. Staff were friendly, attentive and always good for a quick chat. There’s also free WiFi for travelers without connectivity and complementary peanuts with your beer. I’ve been to a few other pubs around, but this is one is my favorite as it’s laid-back with its outdoor sitting and unpretentious.

Best place in charmonix

If your an LFC fan in Chamonix and need a place to watch the game look no further. This place is like a little Anfield in the Alps. Loads of passionate Liverpool fans screaming for the team in red. An unbelievable atmosphere for a football game in a bar. Would highly recommend to any fan of the mighty reds

En fonction du jour les serveurs/serveuses sont +/- aimables. Ce n'est jamais agréable d'avoir l'impression que l'on se moque de vous en ricanant derrière le bar...

Really not a huge fan of this pub. It tried to emulate an Irish pub, but half of the imports were American beers. Overpriced American beers. I attempted to hail the bartender several times. I was about a meter away from him almost to the point of shouting and he was in his own little world. Didn't hear me? Great service 4/10.

Good proper pub feel and some decent beers. Staff we're very friendly and chatty. Good spot if looking for a more English style of drinking establishment.

Ultra Runners love The Pub. Rarely walk past without meeting friends. Staff really friendly and even though the place is packed never loose their cool.

Visited for a quick drink before we went for a meal. Service was efficient & polite. Reasonable selection of beers. However there was no hand wash in the toilets. If I can't wash my hands properly after using the loo, neither can the staff

Établissement sans intérêt. Surtout extrêmement bruyant la nuit. Aucun respect du voisinage: cris, hurlements à toute heure. Déplorable ! Et la mairie tolère ça ? Son seul intérêt : attirer les clients britanniques assoiffés de bière.

Petit bar sympa au centre de chamonix. Il y a pas mal de choix, il y a de quoi se faire plaisir. Ils passent les match le soir ! Les prix sont correct pour l'endroit. Le personnel est souriant. Attention il faut avoir 18 ans pour rentrer après 21h (même si le mineur en question ne consomme pas d'alcool). Décision que je comprends cependant je préfère vous mettre au courant ! Je recommande :)

Le Personnel exclusivement anglophone incapable de s'exprimer en français, ignorant la loi française du service des boissons alcoolisées, nous refuse le service d'une bière à un mineur de plus de 16 ans accompagnés de surcroît de ses parents. Devant l'impossibilité de faire entendre raison, on nous suggéra sèchement d'aller voir ailleurs. Déplorables que des commerçants ignorent tout du pays dans lequel ils travaillent, y compris la langue

'The Pub' is a lovely bar, run by expats from the UK. It stocks a wide range of spirits and beers and is reasonably priced (for Chamonix). I came here a few times during my stay, the staff are lovely and the place is very welcoming. I assume it's dog friendly too as I've seen some quite large dogs in there. Good athmosphere and a fine place to go for a drink in central Chamonix!

Nice little bar with a pool table. Expensive drinks €19.50 for 3 beers. Side note, I had my jacket stolen from here a couple of years ago so beware of young locals who come in for this reason! 😡

Very friendly staff and a great place to grab a drink after skiing or hiking.

Classic pub. Was there post-game and they kept moving the tables and chairs around in a way that was confusing. Otherwise, just a fine bar.

Barman is a close-minded who did not want to serve us because we were, I quote "too noisy". We just arrived and were just happy to be there. We were joining the bar to watch our National Football Team broadcasted on his TV. Severely disappointed, it doesn't reflect the Ski Vacation atmosphere. But surely we won't go there anymore.

Worst bar ever... talk too loud and they won't going to give you an other beer. Couldn't sing our national song during the football match of our country.

Anywhere that calls itself "The Pub" is asking to be filled with gangs of rowdy Brits shouting louder than the football commentary. The staff are nice though and they do have big screens.

Friendly staff, let us bring in and eat pizzas from Bartavel, they also let us rearrange tables for our large group. Bartender was able to make me a dark and stormy despite it not being a listed cocktail. They have a couple of cider options which was a good surprise.

A fairly standard British pub style bar, i've had a few good nights in here, particularly if there any English sport you would like to watch.
