We did the full 9-course menu and a bottle of red wine suggested by the sommelier at dinner, and it was 11/10. We're Canadians who have traveled all around the world and eaten at many restaurants. Honestly, Restaurant Albert 1er is right up there in my top experiences. I truly appreciated the fact that each dish felt carefully crafted, and the presentation was impeccable. The servers were professional, and the atmosphere was perfect. The dining room was lovely and intimate. Highly recommended for a night of a luscious and unique experience.

Pourquoi 4 étoiles et non 5 alors que nous nous sommes régalés avec ma femme ? Commençons par le positif. La cuisine est excellente : délicieuse, raffinée. Une mention spéciale pour les sauces, et notamment celle au jus de betterave, beurre noisette et bourgeons de sapin : un délice. Si je n’avais pas fait attention à mon cholestérol, j’aurais fini la cassolette. Vraiment, sur le plan culinaire, nous nous sommes extasiés. Deux gros points négatifs cependant. Le premier est le bruit. La salle est extrêmement bruyante, probablement dû au grand nombre d’étrangers présents et au fait que certains ne savent tout simplement pas parler ni s’exprimer de manière respectueuse des autres tables. Mais cela n’est pas directement de la faute du restaurant. Overall, very disappointed. To start, the woman at the front desk came over the second we walked in and immediately said “what’re you doing here” as we were swine wandering in from the street. It was very odd and off putting. Typically, we recommend a “good evening” or a “welcome” first. We were also quite well dressed that evening if I do say so myself. We started with a drink at the bar, and both bartenders were lovely. My boo Thang Likes his Manhattans, which he said was great , albeit small… We then got seated. Incredible Valentine’s dinner at Albert 1er. The tasting menu felt like a journey through the Alps — super fresh vegetables, perfectly cooked fish, earthy mushrooms, and an outstanding venison course. Every dish was thoughtful and balanced without feeling overdone. Service was warm, professional, and relaxed. The cheese selection and local génépi to finish were highlights. Elegant but not stuffy.

Truly one of the best vegetarian tasting menus we've ever had. We were very impressed by the exceptional cooking technique, attentive service, high-quality ingredients (including some from their own garden), and remarkable creativity. Every dish was balanced and complete - nothing felt like a pared-down afterthought from the meat-containing menu. The sassafras course was a highlight, which I had never previously seen prepared as a savory root vegetable dish. There was clearly a great amount of attention paid to all the small details, including artisan dishes and handmade knives. I was thrilled that the cheese cart was included in the tasting menu experience. The interior design was unique and appealing as well. The only suggestion we had for improvement was that we would have appreciated a more detailed description of each course in English (even if that had to be printed out). You

미쉐린 스타 식당 다운 서비스, 분위기, 뭐하나 튀지않고 조화로웠던 음식들. 조금은 딱딱했던 버터를 제외하고는 아주 만족스러웠던 식사. 그리고, 프랑스의 다른 파인다이닝과는 다르게 조금은 템포가 빨라서, 나같이 성격 급한애들한텐 더 좋았다. 마지막엔 창립자의 중손녀(?)인 사장님이 인사도 직접 해주신다👍

Experience globalement positive. La tartelette de haricots était fade. La sauce des girolles trop salée (goûtez vos plats avant d'envoyer) . Mais la cuisson du poisson était top ! Un conseil : arrêtez de mettre des billes de gel citron partout, c'est lassant... Finalement un restaurant d'où on admire les sommets alentour en dégustant de bons plats (malgré tout) entouré de cristaux du Mont-Blanc. Service efficace et pas trop présent.

Ce n’est pas notre première soirée dans cet établissement et c’est toujours un grand plaisir d’y passer une soirée Accueil service au top. Une cuisine incroyable qui se renouvelle sans cesse à base de produits parfaitement maîtrisés. Bref c’est incroyable

Wspaniala restauracja z wysmienitym jedzeniem. Kazde z dan jest malym dzielem sztuki i zabiera nas w kulinarna przygode po Francji. Obsluga bardzo profesjonalna i z klasa na najwyzszym poziomie. Naprawde polecam. Sredni koszt na osobe to ok 200 euro. Jest to naprawde warte tej podrozy :)

Lors de notre premier passage, nous avons été très bien reçus. Nous avons pris le service en 9 plats avec accord vin pour moi et sans alcool (je recommande vivement) pour madame. La cuisine est très bonne et bien exécutée. Le service est à l'hauteur. Nous reviendrons certainement.

Nous avons passé un excellent moment. Le repas était excellent (menu éphémère), et nous avons été très bien servis. Le cadre est très agréable : belle décoration, beau jardin, et un pianiste qui nous a accompagné pendant toute la soirée !

Za to, na stole, dania tmetyczne, wprost odpowiadające miejscu i czasie. Widać dbałość o detale i inwencję twórczą, w przygotowaniu tej kulinarnej opowieści. Różnorodna zastawa cieszy oko, co podane na niej dania. Walory estetyczne dań kuszą, wraz ową zastawą, przekazując nam pewną historię. Prawie ostatni element opowieści wywarł na mnie niemałe wrażenie i szczerze już na zawsze zapamiętam tę kompozycję. Takie nieszablonowe rozwiązania oddają w pełni charakter tego miejsca. Simply WOW. If you are thinking of booking the Albert 1er for a special occasion, please do not hesitate for one moment. From the moment you will cross the doors to the moment you will put your coat on, you will feel spoilt and taken care of. We loved every single moment, from the food to the wine to the cocktails to the dining room (we went for the 9-course tasting menu). They were also so kind to accommodate my requests before we arrived. Can 100% recommend - please do come back!

Gorgeous dining experience at Restaurant Albert 1er! First off, the staff were fantastic and made the night unforgettable! Big thanks to all of them. I had the vegetarian 7-course menu and asked for a cocktail pairing which the sommalier smashed out of the park. Each course was fantastic, big thank you to Chef Leveau, I especially loved the asparagus dish and the carrots dish, what fantastic fusion of fresh lovely flavors! The sauces that came with the dishes were so good that I asked them to be kept on the table just so I can have more of them with the delicious breads. The main dessert of parsley and chocolate was one of the best desserts I’ve ever tasted, huge kudos to Chef Garnier! My wife and I planned our trip to Chamonix several months ago, and with a few weeks of arriving we were able to make a reservation here which was awesome on such short notice. This would be our first Michelin Star, actually in France. We looked at the menu ahead of time and planned to go with the seven course, as our reservation was a little on the later side. We made it to the hotel where they they took our coats, as we walked towards the restaurant we passed a woman singing while playing the piano in the room before entering. In theory this would have been a nice touch, but she was absolutely belting it, it was disruptive and made the noise level in the dining area much louder than what I think is appropriate for this sort of faire. Un délicieux dîner dans un cadre feutré. Nous avons encore pu profiter du piano et de la chanteuse, un plus, indéniablement. Effectivement, le service est un peu plus hésitant et moins adéquat protocolairement parlant que dans d'autres étoilés mais le personnel est si gentil et de bonne volonté que l'on ne saurait leur en tenir rigueur. Nous avons passé un très bon moment.

Disappointing Experience for a Michelin-Starred Restaurant We dined at Hameau Albert 1er for our wedding anniversary, expecting a memorable experience, but unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. The waitstaff was unprofessional for a Michelin-starred establishment, often walking away when we had questions and failing to provide attentive service. They brought the wrong desserts and didn’t even serve them at the same time, which is unacceptable at this level. To add to the disappointment, the chef never came out to greet or interact with guests, which is something we’ve come to expect at Michelin-starred restaurants. Overall, the experience fell far short of what we anticipated, especially for such a special occasion.

Service raté : nous avons été pressé de finir nos plats à plusieurs reprises car la suite en cuisine attendait (ou plutôt nous étions dimanche soir, peu de monde et le personnel était pressé de rentrer ?), pourtant nous ne trainions pas spécialement ! On est même venu retirer mon assiette avec encore du contenu ! A la serveuse quand on demande quelle herbe a été mise dans le plat, elle ne sait pas et... Ne demandera pas en cuisine, voilà. Le menu un peu moins bien que l'an passé. Décevant pour un étoilé.

Une expérience marquante. Un restaurant clairement en route vers la 2ème étoile : on est même étonnés qu’ils ne l’aient pas déjà. Nous avons passé un dîner excellent, surprenant, du début à la fin. Certainement le meilleur restaurant que l’on ait fait de notre vie. Un grand bravo à toutes les équipes, en salle et en cuisine.

Pour notre anniversaire de mariage. Repas délicat et imaginatif tout en restant dans des saveurs connues. Nous avons apprécié tout particulièrement le service bien rythmé. Nous aurions aimé une visite du chef en fin de repas pour échanger et partager. Dommage que la fin du repas se passe sans aucun accompagnement.

We had the 9 course tasting menu and left feeling full and satisfied. A wonderful fine dining experience. The hefty price tag was entirely reasonable for the food and level of service.

Wonderful meal, friendly and attentive service,in a beautiful restaurant overlooking their garden. We had the 9 course tasting menu with the 5 wine pairing. The sommelier was fantastic answering all our questions about the wine including some history on the various vintners. The food was good, standouts were the stuffed morels, fish from lake geneva and both our mains ( lamb and chicken). The service overall was exceptional all our interactions were pleasant and comfortable. They went out of their way to answer questions. Highly recommend for any visiting chamonix would love to stay at the hotel next time we visit.

Le cadre, l'assiette sont sans aucun doute au niveau de l'étoile du Michelin. Il n'en va pas de même en salle où les difficultés de recrutement de personnel qualifié se font sentir malgré la bonne volonté de ceux-ci.

Simply sublime. A wonderful journey from arriving and being greeted all the way to the end. The food is perfect, the sommelier very helpful, even the table lighting was ideal. Would definitely recommend this if you are visiting Chamonix

샤모니에 방문해서 좋은 식당 하나쯤 가고 싶었는데, 메뉴를 보니 Albert 1er는 이 지역에서 나는 재료를 다루는 것에 진심인 거 같아서 예약했어요. 런치 코스만 먹으려다가 zalto 잔 쓰는 걸 보고 와인도 한 병 골랐어요. 부르고뉴만 봤는데 와인리스트도 좋은 것 같아요. 전식으로 나온 제네바에서 온 날 것의 생선 요리랑 디저트 중에 사과+샐러리 들어간 거. 특히 이 요리들이 기억에 남습니다. 우중충한 날씨에 진짜 기분 확 끌어올려주는 맛입니다. 직원분들도 매우 친절하시고 센스 있으셔요. 다음에는 여름에도 가서 albert 1er를 방문하고 싶어요!

The restaurant visit left something to be desired from our first experience. Despite opting for the full tasting menu, it took 4 hours from start to finish, and we were still missing coffee and chocolates, which they eventually gave us to take away. While the service was friendly and well-coordinated, there were some hiccups, such as forgetting to bring us bread, running out of utensils at times, and serving us a supposedly hot appetizer that was cold. On the positive side, the prawn, egg, and snails were delightful. However, the main course (venison) turned out sweeter than expected, and the rabbit with foie gras was overly fatty, both dishes felt heavy. The desserts were okay, without standing out. More was expected from both the service and the food, especially in the main courses, from a restaurant with at least a star rating.

What a great experience from beginning to end. From the mountains in the dishes, minerals as candle and plants from their harvest I truly loved it. The view in spring from the floral garden is astonishing I will return but next time I will stay in the hotel. Reservarion was indeed needed, with 4 courses it will take around 2 hours. We arrived earlier than the reserved time and they gave a us a table anyways, so nice. The restaurant is in the back of the hotel, all indications are clear once in the entrance.

We were just discussing how much we are looking forward to coming back here at our next opportunity. Such a great experience. The wine pairing was probably the best we have ever had.
